David Giertz Continues To Offer Quality Financial Services After More Than Three Decades

David Giertz is the President of Nationwide Financial’s sales and distribution team. He recently sat down with a Wall Street Journal reporter to discuss the importance of financial advisers talking in depth with their clients about Social Security and how it works into their retirement plan. In a survey he helped lead he found that 4 out of 5 clients would consider switching financial advisers if they were not being counseled on social security.

While some advisers are shying away from the subject due to its high level of complication, it is important to thoroughly understand all of the rules associated with it because it will make up such a large portion of most retirees income. If they are counseled poorly on when to begin receiving social security benefits, clients could end up missing out on hundreds of thousands of dollars over the next few decades.

David Giertz is a financial broker with more than three decades of experience in the financial sector. He currently resides in Dublin, Ohio. The services that he offers include a wide variety of portfolio management services for many high net worth individuals. Because he is paid as only a small percentage of the assets as opposed to a flat fee, he has just as much incentive to maximize the value of his client’s portfolios as they do. The harder he works, the better both parties end up at the end of the day.

Before taking a position with Nationwide Investment Services Corporation in 2006, Giertz worked at a variety of other financial institutions which include but are not limited to, Citicorp Investment Services, The Mutual Life Insurance Company Of New York, and Skokie Federal Savings. At each of these positions, David was able to hone his craft as one of the top financial analysts and portfolio managers in the world. David Giertz received his Bachelor of Science degree from Millikin University and his MBA from The University of Miami. Many up and coming financial professionals can look to David Giertz as a quality example of the type of professional they should some day aspire to be.
